CLIENT FIRST VISIT
We can only make a first impression on clients once so we want to make the most of it! When a client comes in for their first class, please ensure you greet them and introduce yourself and ask them what their name is.
“Hello, how are you today? First class? What was your name and I will check you in?
“Hi, how are you, are you Jess coming for Reformer today?”
“Hi, welcome to the studio, I’m Jess, what class were you booked in for today?”
We have pre health questionnaires that need to be completed by everyone before their first class. It asks about injuries and pregnancies and the instructor taking the class can have a quick over view of their health status before the class starts. These forms are now prompted online when a person registers. All instructors should check these under the clients 'Forms’ tab in their Wellness Living profile prior to the class commencing.
If they have not completed the online form please ensure they complete a physical form when they arrive.
We do ask everyone who books in to come 10 minutes early for their first class in the auto email that they receive when they book the class. Remember to check over/confirm injuries with them at this time as well as show them around the studio.
Please take a quick note and have a chat about an injuries or conditions they may have ticked on the form to make sure you know any limitations and make the client feel comfortable and looked after in the studio.
If time permits, please take them on a tour of the studio showing them the other room and bathroom facilities and explain the other classes that our studio offers.
Please walk them to the storage cubes of the class they are attending and let them know that socks and a towel are required for all classes and they can take their water bottle with them as well, everything else can be stored in a cube for the duration of the class.
If you can, set them up next to someone else in the class whose name you know or that you know is an experienced member that they can copy/ask for help as the class goes along. If you know the name of the member/current client, use it to introduce the new client directly so they start to feel like a part of our community immediately.
Please ensure you are checking in with them throughout the class and ensuring that the exercises are comfortable, their spring tension or weights are ok and helping them improve their technique.
At the end of the class, make sure to approach them asking how they found the class and if they enjoyed it or had any questions. Ask them if they are booked in for their next class and as they leave ensure you farewell them and say we will see you again in the studio soon using their name if possible.
